
Angelo Arioli was a professor of Arabic Language and Literature at Sapienza University of Rome. A distinguished expert in Classical Arabic, he was also a specialist in medieval Arabic onomastics. His research focused extensively on medieval Arab travelers and cosmographers, studying and translating their texts.

🎵 Passionate about music and a musician himself, Arioli performed alongside Franco Battiato in Baghdad during the embargo years.
